Safeguarding Putnam County
The Putnam County Fire Service Board and fire service fee ordinance was created in 1986. Our mission is to preserve and improve the protection of life and property for Putnam County. The rates placed into effect in 1986 remained unchanged for over 20 years, before a recent increase was passed in 2013.
Putnam County is protected by eight Fire Departments spread around the county. The Putnam County Fire Service Board and the individual Fire Departments strive to maintain a level of support and protection the people of this county deserve. We also work towards keeping insurance premiums as low as possible for home owners and businesses.
