The Office of Emergency Management’s mission is to lead Putnam County in preparing for, preventing, responding to, and recovering from disasters. With our commitment to safeguarding the lives and property of our 60,000 residents, visitors, and local employees, we’re here to ensure your safety and well-being.

Comprehensive Emergency Response

Spanning an area of approximately 350 square miles, our emergency response services cover a broad geographical region, encompassing the municipalities of Buffalo, Eleanor, Winfield, Bancroft, Poca, and Hurricane.
